To get the perfect light smokey eye look use the 5 Shade Smokey Eye Shadow Palette with Mirror by Love Exquisite Cosmetics.  Follow these tips:

-The best way to apply your own eye shadow is by completely closing each eye as you apply it to your eye lid and use a mirror in a room with bright lighting.
 

-Apply Love Exquisite Cosmetics Smooth Primer to your eye lids to help protect the skin and get smooth make-up application that last. (make sure that you close your eyes to avoid getting products in the eyes).

-Apply a light Concealer onto the eye lids.  A light foundation also works well. This helps to intensify the color and go on smoothly.

-Starting from the darker shades to the lighter shade, apply the black or brown (whatever is your preferred shade) to the end of each eye lid. Use brush strokes in the direction away from the nose.

-Then, apply the next shade lighter than the shade you just used (if you used black, then use brown next, if you used brown, then use the lighter shade in the palette after the brown shade) and apply it to the center of your eyelid and stroke away from your nose, make sure the shade meets the darker shade that you applied previously, with a slight overlap. (do not overlap too much on the darker shade, as this will decrease the intensity of the darker color).  Remember, these shades choices are for the 5 Shade Smokey eye look using the Love Exquisite Smokey Eye Shadow palette, so your palette colors and application may differ, if you use a different color palette.

-Lastly, apply the lighter shade of choice in the corner of your eyelids, meeting the center shade, with slight overlap.  Continue to apply your eye shadow on each eye lid as needed to make sure they match and to get the intensity of colors you want.
 

You can also add a glitter line to the crease of your eyelid or to the bottom of your eyebrow from the middle to the end to accentuate your smokey eye look. You can also use an Angled, eye liner brush to add a darker shade underneath your bottom eye lashes for a more sultry look.  If you want to achieve a darker smokey eye look, apply eye shadow multiple times until you get the darkness that you want.

Most make-up artist use about three - five eye shadow shades/colors to achieve a smokey eye effect, but feel free to use as many shades as you like, based upon your own personal preference and the look that you are trying to achieve.
