How to Get a More Natural Make-up Look

The first practice before applying any make-up, is to take care of your skin.  Don’t just cover up blemishes and acne with make-up.  Do what you need to do to first combat the acne problem.  Often times, that means see a dermatologist.  Healthy skin, has a natural glow.  You can achieve a natural make-up look by doing the following: 

Use a fragrance-free facial cleanser, hydrating facial mask, and a good moisturizer day and night.

Then, before you apply your make-up use a good primer, which helps to protect the skin from harmful chemicals, smooths the skin, and fills in pores without clogging them.

After using a good primer, apply concealer that compliments your skin tone.  The concealer should be applied throughout the face, concentrating on the areas you want to conceal the most.

Then, apply a foundation based upon your skin type (dry skin, oily skin) and tone (complexion).  Most cream foundations are good for blending everything well.

A cream bronzer is also good, but optional.  The bronzer will help add a glow to your skin and helps make the make-up last throughout the day, in addition to using a good setting spray.

Contouring is a great way to change the shape of the cheek bones and the nose.

Adding highlights is also a good way to accentuate glowing skin on the cheekbones and the nose.  A rose blush, can also help to accentuate the cheek bones as well. 

The best part of the make-up is always the eyes.  So, you have to make sure that you accentuate your brows with a good brow gel or an automatic eyebrow pencil with brush that will help you shape and define your eyebrows. 

Your eyeshadow is important as well. 

Eyeshadow helps to accentuate your eyes and brings the entire make-up look together. 

False lashes are optional.  You can use a good mascara to create thicker, longer lashes as desired.  Eye liner is important as well, you can use liquid liner for lasting looks or an eyebrow pencil for a more smokey eye look.
