WHAT'S COOKING?

There was a time when most people didn't worry much about what they eat.  Even the Bible states,"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear" (Matthew 6:25-34).  Today, most of us have become more concerned about what we do to our bodies, as well as what we put in our bodies. With some foods being linked to the cause of high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc., it has sparked an overwhelming interest in veganism, diets, exercise, and eating organic foods.  However, some of us have not joined the health conscious group and are less concerned about what we eat and often indulge in an unhealthy eating regimen that includes eating fast foods.

If that is you, I won't tell you what to eat and what not to eat, I'll just encourage you to consult with your physician about your health and if any medical conditions run in your family that you should be concerned about, monitor what you eat.  It is good for all of us to practice a good healthy lifestyle.  If you are someone who eats fast food, I recommend that you download the restaurant apps, for the fast food restaurants that you frequent.  Because, on the app it includes important information about calories, allergies, and warning messages (in addition to coupons) that you do not always see on the menu.  You will find that some of the fast food restaurant food apps will include the warning message, "Warning -Cancer and Reproductive Harm," Taco Bell's app is one of them specifically.  Your health is important, so you should visit: https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/fact-sheets/foods-and-beverages-restaurants-and-other-food-facilities

Eating healthy is important and is one of the things that I know I have to do better. Keep in mind that to live longer, we have to begin to eat healthier.  To help you on your journey of eating healthier the American Heart Association offers some tips linked here: https://www.heart.org/en/healthy-living/healthy-eating/eat-smart/nutrition-basics/how-to-eat-healthy-without-dieting
