Well, football is off to a tough start, especially if you are an Eagles fan.  However, sometimes it is the difficult times help develop us for better outcomes.  And, so we ride on....

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

The Philadelphia Eagles are 3-4 in this regular season, after losing the rival team the Dallas Cowboys.  Eagles are still in 2nd place in the NFC East.  In the game against the Cowboys, the Eagles look BAD!! They had four turnovers, which three led to Cowboys touchdowns.  WE MUST GET BETTER AS A TEAM!!!!!!  The Eagles have nine games remaining.  Wentz has to do a better job.  Wentz received a four year, $128 MILLION DOLLAR contract.  That’s a lot of SHMONEY to have a losing record!!!!  If Wentz is to be a franchise quarterback, he needs to begin to play like one.  My sister believes that Wentz holds the ball too long during games, because he is so busy looking for his favorites (Jeffrey, Agholor, Ertz, Goedert, and now Sanders).  She believes that is why he holds the football too long, because he is looking for either of them, and if you watch the game long enough, you'll see, which is why the opponents usually try not to leave those players open.  My sister believes that Wentz should just throw the football to an open man/player, despite who it is.  You never know who the play makers are, if you never give everyone an opportunity to make plays.  The Eagles is a good team, they just have to play better as a team and we need our key players to recover, so that they can help us win games.  In the Dallas game, there were some key players out due to injury (7): (WR) DeSean Jackson is out indefinitely with an abdominal injury, (RB) Corey Clement out with a shoulder injury, (OT) Jason Peters out with a knee injury, (CB) Avonte Maddox out with concussion-head injury, Tim Jarrigan out with foot injury, (RB) Darren Sproles out with quadriceps injury, (LB) Nigel Bradham out with ankle injury.

The team must pull together despite missing valuable players, to have a successful season.

                                                LET’S GO EAGLES!!!!!

PHILADELPHIA UNION

The Philadelphia Union won their first playoff game versus New York Red Bull, 4-3 on Saturday, October 20, 2019, to advance to The Eastern Conference Semifinals.

It was the first playoff win in Union History.  The Union overcame a two goal deficit to defeat The New York Red Bull and was defeated on October 24, 2019, in their lost to Atlanta United.

PHILADELPHIA 76'ers

The Sixers are off to a great regular season!  They have won three straight games in the start of the new season.  Joel Embiid is back and in full force! Slow down though, Embiid, because we do not need you to be suspended for fighting during the game anymore. Embiid got into a physical altercation with Karl Anthony Towns of the Timberwolves.  He scored 36 points in the game against the Hawks.  The defense is really looking good, blocking, defending and making every second count.  We look forward to an awesome season.  Let's keep up the momentum fellas.
Rest in peace Al Bianchi, former player and coach, who died last month at age 87.

THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

The 2019 baseball season was a disappointment to say the least.  The Philadelphia Phillies season ended early.  Fans had high expectations for the team due to the acquiring of BRYCE HARPER, the 300 MILLION DOLLAR MAN!!!!!!  The team never made it into post season.  However, Harpers former team, THE NATIONALS are in the Championship series versus THE HOUSTON ASTROS. THE NATIONALS defeated the CARDINALS to advance to the Championship.

Due to the teams losing season, Coach Gabe Kapler has been FIRED!!  Kapler joined the Philadelphia Phillies in 2017. He spent two unsuccessful seasons with the team as coach and manager.  Kapler’s goal was to bring a World Series Title to Philadelphia.  Philly fans would like to THANK Gabe Kapler for his dedication and contributions to the team, and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.  The Phillies also released Pitching

Coach, Chris Young, Head Athletic trainer, Scott Sheridan, and Assistant Trainer Chris Mudd.

Phillies rehired Charlie Manuel as the Hitting Coach and Senior Advisor and hired Joe Girardi, as the manager signing him to a three year contract.  Let's hope next season is better than the last.

WELCOME BACK CHARLIE!!!!!

BEST OF LUCK GABE and JOE!!!!!!

THE PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

The Flyers look stronger than last season, but so did The Phillies!!  The team finished 37-37-8 record. During the off season The Flyers made several moves.  Management hired new coach, Alain Vigneault.  Vigneault has had previous head coaching stints with Montreal and Vancouver, and the New York Rangers.  Vigneault acquired a pair of veteran defensemen to help move the team forward towards a chance for the Stanley Cup.  Vigneault also hired two former head coaches Mike Yeo, and Michel Therrein as assistants.

Go Figure!!! The Flyers are 1-5, with the only win versus The Vegas Golden Knights!!

In order for The Flyers to improve in the 2019-2020 Season the team must get off to a better start.  Last season, they faced a 2-0 deficit in a staggering 32 of 82 games (39%).  They won only four of those 32 games.

The new coaching staff along with the new acquisitions should have had an immediate impact!!!!  This should have helped the team play with more focus at the start of games and that the team would keep that focus for 60 minutes.
