NEW VENTURES IN FILM AND MUSIC

Twin sisters, Eli and Lu Bevins are taking Philly entertainment to a whole new level, these beautiful, talented, and intelligent women from West Philadelphia are the founders of Eli and Lu Entertainment, a company that develops, writes, directs and produces films, stage plays, and spoken word.  Eli and Lu recently successfully launched a new arts and entertainment company titled, Philm Factory at Studio 2E, which aims to help the indie film community hone in on their creative craft through competitions, while educating them about funding opportunities, and empowering one another through gaining industry exposure for their events and film projects.  You can find out more about Eli and Lu Entertainment and the Philm Factory via their website at http://eliluent.com/

 

Congratulations to the Creative Director and Co-Founder, Anita Clement-McCloud, who launched Preeminence Films, which is a full-service production company located in Los Angeles California that helps producers, writers, directors and the like create movies and TV programs.  Visit their website at https://preeminencefilms.com/ for more details and upcoming projects.  Anita is also owner of Nita Hitz, and one of the collaborative minds who partnered with her brother on Ushers Grammy Award winning song, You Remind Me, and has written and worked with several different well-known industry artist, like TLC and Boyz II Men to name a few.

Congratulations to Edmund “Eddie Hustle” Clement aka “Butterman” President and CEO, who launched Heavy Pen Entertainment, which is a full-service entertainment music production company located in Georgia that provides the production of musical arrangements, songwriting, and video production for the entertainment industry.   Eddie is also owner of Want To Be A Star Studio, brain child and former member of the R&B Groups, “Hustle Child,” and “Brother” as well as co-collaborative mind who partnered with his sister on Ushers Grammy Award winning song, You Remind Me, and has also produced and arranged music for several major music industry artists, list TLC and Boyz II Men to name a few.  Follow Heavy Pen Entertainment on Instagram.

Both Anita and Eddie come from a talented family.  Their beautiful, musically gifted mother, Deborah Clement, was a part of a sensational sister singing group, “Direct Current,” which was comprised of twin sister, Dorothy Clement and late sister Denise Clement.  The original group also comprised of their other sister, Diane Clement.  Direct Current later became a trio, which is now a duo that goes by the name, The Twins, (Deborah and Dorothy Clement) and are still performing at local venues today.  Direct Current is famous for their album and hit song, Everybody Here Tonight Must Party.  Direct Current also performed background vocals for several well-known songs that still get radio play today by several well-known artists that includes, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Chaka Khan, to name a few.  Direct Current also performed the background vocals on Patti La Belle’s I’m In Love Again album that also features, Love and Need and Want You Baby, If Only You Knew, and more.  Talent certainly runs in the Clement Family DNA.
