For our May 2020 issue, we highlight a very talented, intelligent, and passionate artist and songwriter, Louie Mack.  Louie Mack is his stage name that probably derived from his smooth ability to captivate the ladies.  His lyrical ability is a combination of old school hip-hop with that new school flavor.  Growing up in urban Philadelphia, PA, Louie draws from his life experiences as he creates a dialect of musical genius when writing his rhymes that are relatable to young audiences. Coming from such a musically talented family, it is no surprise that music runs through his veins. Louie has always had that "it factor," which is what people look for in the music industry.  As a child, Louie got his first start in front of the camera, while appearing in the short film, Jenkins Family Block Party, written by a cousin, Anita Clement-McCloud. So, it is no surprise that he is never camera shy and always ready to perform.  His parents, Louis and Tashia, who are both entrepreneurs, are a big inspiration for his pursuit into entrepreneurship.  Louie is the Co-Founder of DoYouKnowMe, LLC, an entertainment company for creative minds.  His company has released each of his music projects, singles, and visuals to date.  Louie expresses himself musically while performing at several different venues from Atlanta to Dubai.  In 2019, Louie made a guest appearance on the radio show, Real Recognize Real Talk Radio in Philadelphia, where he performed his club banger, Drip.  He and his team, The Spades, are working to expand his audience and perform at more notable venues.   For bookings email LouieMackMgmt@gmail.com.

 

Since relocating to Atlanta to earn a degree from Morehouse College, his fan base has expanded.  Louie is dedicated to growing as an artist on a global scale.  He states that, "I’ve realized as I’ve gotten older that music is a tool to connect with others and a platform to allow creatives to be heard.  The road as an artist and as an entrepreneur are challenging and there is no steady income, with no guarantees of stability. However, as of yet, there is no challenge I haven’t overcome."  I believe that his talent combined with his intelligence will take him to higher heights and know that he has a bright future ahead of him.
