Enjoying Life Today

As we get older, we begin to realize what is important and who is important in our lives. We value our time more and learn not to take people and things for granted. We also begin to prioritize things and people.   As we lose loved ones, we realize how short life is, and why it is important to enjoy life, today.

 

We can no longer wait to enjoy life.  We have to enjoy life TODAY.  To enjoy life, you should do more of what brings you joy, and avoid what doesn’t. Long gone are the days where we say, “I used to be able to...” and replace that with, “This is the way, I have to do things now…’ So, you see, it’s not that you can no longer do things that bring you joy, if your physical mobility or financial stability has changed.  You can still enjoy life; you just have to enjoy life in a different way (within your physical mobility and financial means).
 

Here are some Suggestions on How to Enjoy Life, Today

  • Live in moments (not in days). 

  • Take time for yourself to do things you enjoy.

  • Stop worrying.  Stop complaining.

  • Practice gratitude and thankfulness.

  • Regroup, Relax, and Rejuvenate. (Treat yourself to a facial, massage, pedicure, manicure, etc.)

  • Eat healthy and Exercise.

  • Be of service (volunteer.)

  • Spend Quiet time in commune with God.

  • Be one with nature. (Travel, beach, park, outdoors)

  • Figure out what is your favorite leisure activity, and do more of that.

  • Be a good steward of money.

  • Avoid negative thought and negative self-talk.

  • Avoid drama and toxicity.

  • Meet new people (join a group of interest).

  • Get adequate rest.

  • Keep your brain active. (puzzles, reading, brain trivia games, card and memory games)

 

Enjoying life today, means prioritizing YOU.  Don't wait...tomorrow is not promised.  Enjoy Life, Today!
