PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

The Philadelphia Eagles are in the 17th week of games, as of December 27, 2019. The Eagles continue working towards earning the NFL East Title. Carson Wentz went all out against the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles and Carson Wentz denied the Cowboys the NFC East Title. The Eagles defeated the Cowboys 19-7 on December 22, 2019. Despite having 9 players on injured reserve, the team pushed through to victory. The team continues to race towards their championship goal.

Wentz played a stellar game making 39 of 40 complete passes, throwing for 319 yards. Eagles cornerback, Sidney James, broke up Dak’s fourth down pass to Dallas Receiver, Mike Gallup, in the end zone with one minute and fifteen seconds left in the game.  If Dallas had won the game, they would have clinched their second straight NFC East Title. On December 29, 2019 the Eagles faced the New York Giants in a game that would determine if they will make the playoffs and clinch the NFC East Title, as most Eagles games, it was a nail bitter, however, Congratulations are due to the Eagles team, who beat the Giants!   LET”S GO EAGLES!  We’re in the playoffs baby!

THE PHILADELPHIA 76’ERS

The Philadelphia 76ers are on a roll. The team has united as one to complete the task of winning games and staying healthy. The 76ers gave Philly fans a great Christmas present on December 25, 2019. The team defeated the reigning league MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpos of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Sixers made (21) 3 point shots. The team record is (23) wins and (11) loses. Coach Brown is looking ahead and believes the 76ers are ready for post season play and the playoffs. He states, “My team can play with the best of them.”  Players must know what their contributions to the team are. And, when they do, get focused and locked in as a team, we will continue to be successful. The team must maintain consistency night in and night out.

If the 76ers can play the second half of the season as well as the first, we will be in good shape for post playoffs and beyond!  LET’S GO SIXERS!

BOXING

The WBC has approved the rematch of Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury of Great Britain to be held in 2020.  We look forward to this fist of fury, wild battle.

Errol Spence, with his unbeaten title insists that he is ready to defend his title. Errol was in a horrible car accident, where he sustained significant injuries this past October. Errol spent six days in the hospital at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. When released from the hospital, Errol was charged with a single count of Class B misdemeanor, driving under the influence (DUI).  Errol is on the mend and ready to fight in May or June.
