D'VINA  CHERI

D'Vina Cheri, is a mother, singer, songwriter, radio personality and entrepreneur from Philadelphia.  She expresses her individuality through her diverse talents and represents the voice of Philadelphia's young adults and youth.  Pursuing her dreams as a new mother, her music is more than a muse.  D'Vina has an innate ability to capture the audience attention as her vocals capture the ears of those who are in tune with the rhythmic sound of her voice.

D'Vina founded her nonprofit, The Dream Collective,  where she brings arts, music, theatre and philanthropy to after school youth programs within Philadelphia and the tri-state area and also partners with community groups to feed the homeless.  D'Vina is a renaissance woman with a keen sense of business acumen.  She is also no stranger to the stage or television.  She has appeared on, TV shows such as Tyler Perry's, “If Loving You Is Wrong,” Lee Daniels “Star,” and the 2Pac biopic by Benny Boom.  D'Vina has made it onto worldwide stages such as America's Got Talent, where she received accolades from Heidi Klum who stated, "You belong on the stage!"

She has always had a love for performing music and dancing.  As a child, her family has fond memories of her taking every opportunity to dance on the living room table and put on a show.  D'Vina also shared her gift of song with her elementary school teacher who loved her vocal ability so much that she always asked her to sing the finale song from “Bye-Bye Birdie.”  After revealing her hidden talent, D'Vina discovered additional talents to strengthen her future career as an entertainer and started her acting career.  She got her first start in acting landing leading roles featured in grade school theatre productions as Dorothy in "The Wiz" and in high school as the lead character, Audrey, in "Little Shop of Horrors."

D'Vina has gained a wide range of skills by planting herself into other art forms such as hosting and modeling at various events.  She served as the red carpet host for Empire, the TV show season one premiere, in Philadelphia and served on various panels as a motivational speaker to the youth.  D'Vina has also competed in several local beauty pageants during her childhood and college years. In addition, D'Vina has studied classical music and solfeggio at the historical Freedom Theatre.  She was also a background singer for various artists during her internship at Philadelphia International Records. In addition to her singing ability, D'Vina currently plays the piano at an intermediate level.

As a broadcast telecommunication and mass media major, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University.  D'Vina held an internship position  at NBC Universal & Comcast affiliate, which made her presence known at many of Philadelphia’s prestigious institutions as well as in her community.  She is also known on her college campus for performing the Star Spangled Banner at Temple University’s historical Liacouras Center at the Men and Women's basketball games.  Outside of the academic arena, D'Vina has been invited to serve as the headliner at various shows in the City of Philadelphia, such as: Penns Landing Race St. Pier Summer Series and has been an annual opener at Philly Universoul Circus.

D'Vina has performed at the Kimmel Center of Philadelphia, Wells Fargo Arena, World Cafe Live, the Clef Club, Warmdaddy's, Relish and a number of other venues outside of Philadelphia.  In 2010, D'Vina competed in the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival and in 2009, D'Vina won first prize at the Annual United Way Talent Show as a soloist. In 2020, D'Vina's debut music video, “I’m Done Waiting,” was featured on WHYY/PBS House Concert Series online.  Her  voice has reached thousands of listeners with her original music available on iHeart radio media, Revolt, Pandora radio, Tidal, iTunes, Spotify, and various online outlets throughout the tri-state.

D'Vina's first music video titled "CRAZY" was made available on MTV.Com's artist website and featured during the commercials for the 2015 VMA's. She aspires to establish herself as a songwriter and solo artist.  In 2019, she released her first debut album titled, "DreamcatcHER" in the genre of Pop/Soul. D'Vina is well on her way to becoming the star she was born to be and she is truly blossoming into her destiny.  She believes that you should not live with regrets.  She is talented, dedicated and determined and encourages people to, "Be positive, no matter what! Always put your best foot forward, because you never know who is watching.”
