BLACK HISTORY
MONTH
We celebrate Black history and thank all of the people who fought for freedom and equality and those of us who continue this fight. THANK YOU!
2021 INAUGURATION
After the recent violent riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, where several Trump supporters stormed the Capitol armed with weapons trying to stop and intimidate the House from confirming President-Elect Joe Biden's win, several people responsible and/or involved in this criminal activity are now in prison. On January 13, 2021, the House voted to Impeach the former president, who encouraged his supporters to march to the Capitol, which promoted the riot that took place. Five people died as a result. The vote ended at 223/197 in favor for impeachment.
On a brighter note, the Inauguration of President Joseph Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took place on January 20, 2021 with military personnel and the National Guard onsite to prevent a repeat of what took place on January 6, 2021. It was a moment in history to celebrate the first woman of color elected as Vice President of the U.S., as well as all the first appointees in office. Let's begin to build back better.

TIPS
ACCENTUATE YOUR EYES
This month our focus is on accentuating your eyes and bringing out your natural eye color more. Try the following make-up tips:
1. Apply good eyeshadow palette colors to your eye lid area. For Brown eyes try: gold, bronze, purple, gray, blue, or green colors. For Gray eyes try: brown, peach, red, or orange colors. For Green eyes try: pink, lavender, violet, gold or brown. For Blue eyes try: turquoise, brown, copper, silver colors.
2. Apply a black liquid liner on the top of your eyelid, right above your lashes, as well as on the inner part of your lower lashes near the eye without getting it into your eye.
3. Apply black Lengthening mascara to your top and lightly apply to your bottom lashes as well.
4. Lightly apply an automatic eyebrow pencil or eyebrow pomade (the color of the pencil you choose should compliment your skin tone and hair color) to accentuate your eyebrows.
Following these tips will help to accentuate your natural eye color and could help make your eyes look lighter and brighter.
