NFL

 

The Philadelphia Eagles did not make it to the Super Bowl.  The defense and offense did not play at their best towards the end of their season.  some staffing changes took place.  Reports state that, hiring former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator, Clint Hurtt, to be Philly's next defensive line coach. The Eagles are also expected to hire Seahawks assistant, Karl Scott, to become the new defensive backs coach.

In the Championship, the Detroit Lions was defeated by San Francisco 49er's, the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas Chiefs won over the Baltimore Ravens.  Who will make it to the Super Bowl this year?  We shall see...all we know is that the half-time show is going to be one of the best, with Usher performing.

SUPER BOWL LVIII  

The Super Bowl will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Teams: San Franciso 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs. Usher will be performing for the Half-time show! 

 

2024 NBA ALL STAR GAME 

The NBA All-Star Game will take place on February 18, 2024, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, hosted by the Indiana Pacers. This All-Star Game features the return of the Eastern Conference vs the Western Conference.

The NHL ALL-STAR WEEKEND takes place February 1-3, 2024 in Toronto, ON Canada.  

February 1st   at 6 pm, NHL All-Star Thursday at Scotiabank Arena, Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Player Draft, the NHL Alumni Man of the Year, Honoring the 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Canadian Tire Professional Women’s Hockey League 3-on-3 Showcase.  

February 2nd   at 7 pm, 2024 NHL All-Star Skills at Scotiabank Arena 

February 3rd   at 3 pm, 2024 NHL All-Star Game

OLYMPICS:

Team USA wins the medal in figuring skating after 15-year-old Russian star figure skater, Kamila Valieva, tested positive for a banned drug.

NBA

 

The Sixers are playing good basketball.  Congratulations to Joel Embiid who scored a career high of 70 points in the game against the San Antonio Spurs. The supporting team is also playing well with and without him on the court.  The Sixers record as of Jan. 30th is 29-16.   Maybe this will be the year that we win a Championship... Joel Embiid later sustained an injury and ha to get surgery.
