TRAVEL "ON THE BEAT"
TRAVELING ON A BUDGET
Enjoying the Pool

When you like to travel, but cannot afford to go to a luxury all inclusive island, you can still plan an affordable getaway.  Just as we mentioned in the last issue of the magazine, it is best to plan ahead, when vacationing.  There are places to travel that can cost from $200 up to $600 to travel to.  Check with your local travel agent and search the internet to compare pricing.  With the rising cost of airfare, you can decide if another form of transportation, like driving, renting a limousine service, traveling by train or bus is most cost efficient than flying.  You may want to consider traveling to locations that you can drive to.  You might be surprised what you find in your own State, so speaking with the tourist and visitor center in your City and/or State can help you explore areas that you may not have known existed.

Some of the less expensive locations to travel includes (depending upon the season and events happening):

- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

- Virginia Beach, Virginia

- Poconos

- Ocean City, New Jersey

- Ocean City, Maryland

- Washington, DC

- Manhattan, New York
-Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
-Baltimore Harbor in Maryland

-Atlantic City, New Jersey

-Las Vegas, Nevada
-Orlando, Florida

-

You can check pricing rates on websites like: BookIt.com, Expedia.com, or consult with a local travel agent.  Plan ahead.
