Mellitta McKethan was born in Stratford, NJ.  She is an actress, singer, and medium healer, who loves her beautiful mother Roslyn (who is her number one supporter).  Mellitta also loves working with children as an educator.   She has a love and passion for teaching children about the aspects of theatre.  She works at various day care centers and teaches children theatre techniques.  The children get to apply what they learn on stage in front of their proud parents.  Mellitta began her acting career at the age of 11, when she received a scholarship to attend Walnut Street Theatre Camp.  Mellitta went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts and English from Arcadia University and has performed in over thirty stage plays, five films, two musicals and one webseries.  She loves singing and performing and remains very active in film and theatre.

In 2019, she won a Best Supporting Actress Award at the SheLA Theatre Summer Festival for her role in the play, Between the Color Lines and Other Black Girls Tales.  In 2020, Mellitta won a singing contest at the Rose Petals Extravaganza earning a cash prize for being the best vocalist.  When she acts and sings, you can clearly tell that she is a trained artist, who was born to be on stage.  She also had the opportunity to sing a gospel song in front of a live audience at the Dell Music Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Mellitta is a kind-hearted, talented actress, who takes her craft seriously.  With her acting skills, she has the ability to perform on Broadway stages.  I had the pleasure of gracing the stage with her in several stage plays, as well as working with her as an actress in the film, A Mother's Love, where she played a phenomenal supporting actress role and the film is available for viewing at several AMC Theatres.  Mellitta always shows love to her family, friends and supporters who love and encourage her to continue to be great.

 

She continues to evolve professionally and I am delighted to see her take on new initiatives.  She has developed a new love for mediumship healing out of her passion for helping others release anxiety, depression, increase their self-esteem, foster positive energy, and help people to never be afraid of being who they truly are.  When asked about her pursuit of becoming a Reiki Master Mellitta states, "I have the gift of feeling people's emotional pain and can detect a person's energy (good or bad)," because of this discerning ability she is now training to be a Reiki Master, or as she refers it, "a healing artist."  Mellitta believes that God blessed her with the gift of being a healing artist and she feels that it is now time to share her gift to help others heal.
