LIFE CHOICES

The choices that we make in life can serve as a help or a hinderance.  It is important to think critically about all of the choices you make in life.  Life choices can be difficult, because most of us tend to want to do what is easy versus what is hard.  Some people might want to do whatever he/she wants to do, without much thought about the consequence.   We don't put much thought into what we eat, until after we get a diabetes, high blood pressure, or a high cholesterol diagnosis.  Most of us don't think much about what we do, until after the outcome/result is not in our favor, nor what we hoped for, or intended.   Some of us don't think about monitoring what we say to someone else, before we say it, until what we say hurts someone else, and that person's attitude changes towards us in a negative way.  Even though, God gave all of us free will, we should ask for His guidance on how to exercise that free will appropriately.

Just because we have free will, that does not mean that we can do what is not the best thing to do.  Every decision you make in life does matter, and can change the trajectory of your life, and/or the lives of the people around you.  Making the wrong life decision, can lead to a life filled with turmoil, drama, chaos, dissatisfaction, depression, overwhelming responsibilities, frustration, hopelessness, as well as the feeling of living an unfulfilled life.  However, making the right life decision, can lead to a life filled with love, hope, happiness, contentment, satisfaction, economic stability, and peace of mind.  Choosing between doing what is good versus doing what is bad, is a life choice that we all have to face at some point in life.  When we know what is good and what is bad, we cannot pretend that we don't know the difference between doing what is right or doing what is wrong.

We have to not only think about right and wrong, we should also think about doing what is best.  When you think about your life choices, can you honestly say that you have always done what is best?  Was it best for you, or was it best for all parties involved?  Remember, your life decisions can impact those around you.  This is why it is so important to make sure that you are making the right choices in life.  When you don't make the right choices in life, it doesn't always mean that your life is over, and that you cannot turn what is wrong into something right.  It means that when doing wrong, it is a teachable moment for you to learn what you can do better.

If you are someone who does not care about what decisions you make in your life, or do not care about how your life choices impact the people around you, as you get older you will see the negative impact of what your life choices have caused.  So, take your life choices seriously.  Life decisions matter more than you think.  Life choices are about making the best decisions for your life.  Life choices are also about making wise decisions.  When making life choices, first ask yourself these important questions:

-How is my decision going to impact the people in my life?

-Is the decision that I am about to make a selfish one?

-Is my decision going to help someone else?

-Is my decision going to hurt me or hurt someone else?

-Can I live with a clear conscience, after making the decision?

-Is what I am thinking about doing, the right or wrong thing to do?

-If the outcome is not the outcome that I would like, will I still be okay with my decision?

-Am I doing what is best for all parties involved?

-If what I am about to do was going to be on the front page of the newspaper, would I still do it?

-Would it be okay for someone that I care about to do the same thing to me that I am doing to him/her?

Honestly, answering those questions will help you make the right life choices.  Make sure that you are making the right choices in life, because sometimes you do not get a second chance to do things differently.
