Maryland

Singer, Avery Sunshine will be at the Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore MD on October 17th.  
 

R&B Legends Silk, will be performing at the UMBC Event Center in Baltimore Maryland on October 18th.
 

Singers Ledisi, will be at the Patricia & Author Modell Performing Arts Center in Baltimore, MD on October 19th.

Hip Hop Legends Wu Tang Clan will be performing at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on October 11th.
 

Lupe Fiasco is performing in Sayreville, NJ at the Starland Ballroom October 25th.
 

Hip-hop artist Meek Mill, A Boogie With Da Hoodie and more will be in Newark NJ at the Prudential Center on October 26th.

 

New York

Singer, Maggie Rogers is also on tour and will be at Radio City Music Hall in New York on October 1st
 

Pop icon, Madonna will be at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on October 1st in Brooklyn NY.
 

Pop singer, Avril Lavigne will be at Pier 17 in New York City on October 1st.
 

Legendary musician, Sheila E. will be performing live on October 3rd at Sony Hall in NY.
 

Legendary Singer, Phil Collins will be bringing in the night at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 7th.
 

Artist, Post Malone will be performing on October 14 in Madison Square Garden in New York.
 

Singer Mary J Blige and Hip-hop artist Nas are still going strong on the Royalty Tour, performing on October 15th in New York.
 

Pop group the Chain Smokers will be at the Barclay Center in New York on October 17th.
 

Legendary artist, Steely Dan is on tour and will be at the Beacon Theatre in New York on October 19, 21st.
 

Legendary hip-hop artists, Cypress Hill will be at the Play Station Theatre in New York on October 25th.

 

 

 

Pennsylvania

Artist, Chance the Rapper will be performing at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, on October 4th.

Singer, Maggie Rogers will be at the Mann Center in Philadelphia on October 4th.

Singer, Carrie Underwood is live at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on October 5th.
 

Hip Hop Artist, Rick Ross will be bringing is Port of Miami 2 Tour to the Fillmore in Philadelphia October 8th.

Will Downing & Oleta Adams performing live at the Clef Club in Philadelphia on October 14th.

Charli XCX will be at the Union Transfer, Philadelphia on October 19th.
 

Pop band, Twenty One Pilots will be performing at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, October 20th.
 

Hip-hop artists Migos, Lil Baby, Da Baby, Jeezy and more will be at Powerhouse 2019, October 25th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

 

Rapper, Logic, will be at the MET in Philadelphia on October 29th.
 

Singer, Marc Anthony will be at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA on October 31st. (Note: this concert is in Allentown, not Philly).
 

 

In other event news, Steve Harvey is bringing his Sand and Soul Cruise to Cancun Mexico, October 10-14th; Tina Turner the Musical will be playing on Broadway in New York City, October 12th, the same day that stage play Hamilton will show at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia (October 10, 11, and 18th).  And, Motivational Speaker and Relationship Coach, Stephan Speaks is bringing his tour, You Deserve it: Philly, to Philadelphia on October 26th at the Four Point Sheraton Hotel.

Mark your calendar now for the Gospel singing sensation group Commissioned (For those of you who don't know, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Keith Staten, Mitchell Jones, Marcus Cole, Karl Reid, Maxx Frank, Montrell Darrett, and Michael Brooks, were some of the original singers) for their Commissioned Reunion Experience Concert coming to Philly next month, November 22nd and singer, Erykah Badu concert, Nov. 5th at the MET!

CHURCH STARS AWARDS 2019

Congratulations to the President of the Church Stars Network, Nicole Newman, who put together an amazing awards show on September 28, 2019 in Phoenix Arizona.  The 2019 Church Stars Awards was held to honor directors, producers, playwrights, actors, actresses, as well as other talents in several different categories.  The web series, Church Folks Secrets won 11 awards and short film, Love Happens, won the award for Best Faith-Based Film.  Church Folks Secrets won the award for Best Web Series, Best Producer (Turkesa "Tee" Tunnell Harris), Best Supporting Actress in a Stage Play (Vivian Perry), Best Supporting Actress in a Web Series (Lynnette Clement), Best Actor in a Film (Calvin Cannon, Jr.), Best Actress in a Film (Jordon Campbell), Best Supporting Actor in a Film (Sterling Calhoun), Best Supporting Actress in a Film (Jasmine Jett), Best Actor in a Web Series (Dion Lemon), Best Actress in a Web Series (Tanya Tilghman), and Best Supporting Actor in a Web Series (Lavar Hairston). Church Folks Secrets, the web series, is written and directed by Tee Tunnell Harris and Love Happens, a short film, is written and directed by Tee Tunnell Harris and produced and edited by Tanesa Kassa.  

Congratulations to Tee and Tanesa for such an awesome job!  These ladies are talented and amazing and are so deserving of such honor!  Our creator, editor and chief,
Lynnette Clement won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Web Series for her role as Chyna in Church Folks Secrets.  Lynnette began acting in 2016 and has already received two awards for her performance as an actress.  She was also the recipient of the Triumph Arts Award back in 2017 for her role in a Rick Watson stage play p
roduction.  We look forward to seeing all of them on the big screen someday, stay tuned!
