For our March issue, we highlight the first male to grace the cover of our magazine, Rick Watson.  Rick is a Philadelphia native, who graduated from South Philadelphia High School.  During high school, he joined the R&B/rap group, RPM, which gave him an insight on his calling to entertain people through songwriting and choreography, which later became his inspiration for writing movie scripts and stage plays.  Rick gives credit to his great parents for his success.  His parents sacrificed everything to give him a good education. Rick was raised in the inner city streets of South Philly and learned the art of business from other black business owners in the community.  Learning the business is what motivated him to launch his successful company, World Renowned Entertainment, LLC, which he states represents a testament to hard work, perseverance and philanthropy.

Rick has become one of Philadelphia’s most successful writers, he has performed hit stage plays nationally in many cities throughout the United States. Among his credits he wrote, directed, and produced ten successful stage plays, Momma’ Knows Best, My Husband John, The Answer, What’s Done in the Dark Comes to Light, Letting Go Can Be So Hard, Your Girlfriend Needs to Mind Her Business, What’s Wrong with My Family, A Woman Scorn, and many others.  He is the mastermind behind one full length featured film titled, Genocidal Behavior, which he also wrote, directed, produced & starred in as lead.  He is currently shooting his new feature film, A Mothers Love, which is set to be released within the next year.  Rick is also an author, who has written two published books, A Woman’s Worth and Winners Are Made.

Rick is passionate about helping others.  He gives the opportunity to local aspiring actors and actresses to be a part of his stage plays and film.  I am thankful that he blessed me with the opportunity to grace his stage in several of his productions.  Rick is very active in the community giving back through his annual barbeques, his Triumph Arts Awards Ceremony, which honors actors and actresses in and outside of mainstream, he also hosts several meet and greet events for his stage plays, and has a youth mentoring program as well.  Rick also gives back through his philanthropic work, which he states is his greatest treasure; his organization, C.U.P, which is an acronym for “Caring for Underprivileged People.”   Rick is a talented, hardworking and driven man who is destined to achieve great things.  Rick also gives credit to God for his success as well.  He states, “I credit all of my success on my spiritual outlook on life. God is the focus of all success, and if you haven’t yet, give God a chance.”  We are so delighted to honor Rick Watson as the first featured male to grace the cover of the March 2020 Love Exquisite Magazine.  Well deserved!  Keep Rising!  You can follow and support Rick and find out more about his upcoming projects on his website: www.RickWatsonProductions.com
