In the June 2023 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine, we honor and celebrate the local nonprofit, Love Exquisite Arts and Recreation Nonprofit (L.E.A.R.N.) Center.  The L.E.A.R.N. Center is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit foundation in Philadelphia, PA.  Donors can deduct contributions under IRC Section 170, 2055, 2106 or 2522.  The mission is to provide educational and recreational services to low-income youth and adults in low-income communities and partner with companies that offer arts, fashion, music, recreational sports, film, and theatre programs. We also intend to provide grant funding opportunities to individuals and groups that provide access to arts education learning opportunities that enhance the quality of life for youth and adults in low-income communities of North and West Philadelphia, PA, aligned with the mission of the organization. 

 

Aside from ensuring that their team is talented, educated, flexible, knowledgeable, can provide expert advice, implement effective teaching and learning strategies, they also offer a safe and inclusive, engaging, learning environment.  They are eager to develop close relationships with successful businesses who can support and partner with initiatives. Their long-term goal is to also provide job opportunities to gainfully employ talented individuals who are laid off due to COVID-19.

Love Exquisite Arts and Recreation Nonprofit (L.E.A.R.N.) Center operates on three (3) core values (E.P.I.C.):

 

-Empower low-income communities with access to resources needed to be successful.

​

-Provide underserved communities with positive outlets in an effort to decrease violence and crime.

-Inspire people to be their best selves.

-Cultivate creativity of the arts and recreation through learning opportunities, engaging activities and interactive workshops.

 

In 2022-2023 the L.E.A.R.N. Center was nominated as Metro Philly’s Best Nonprofit.  Make sure you cast your vote for free at MetroPhillyBest.com in the Best Nonprofit category.  On May 27, 2023, Love Exquisite Arts and Recreation Nonprofit Center’s founder, Lynnette Clement, received the 2023 Urban Elegance Entrepreneur Award.  The L.E.A.R.N. Center is already making an impact in a short period of time and they look forward to keeping the mission moving forward. They are in their second year and already received tremendous support from the community, as well as from the Philadelphia Foundation, Black Community Leaders Fund, Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, Chipotle, School Safety and Security Committee, and an array of individual donors and supporters.  When asked about the success of the nonprofit, Lynnette responded with a huge THANK YOU for all of our continued supporters!  You can find out more about the L.E.A.R.N.
