Applying Eyeliner Effectively
 

There are different types of eyeliners: Liquid, cream, gel, kohl and pencil liners.  Each of these can have a different look when applied to the line of the eyelashes.  For a dramatic, bold look, cream and liquid liners are best.  For a smudged, softer look, gel, kohl or pencil liner is best.   Make sure that whatever eyeliner you use, it has a sharp edge for precise application. When you apply eyeliner, stay as close to the lashes as possible.  Depending upon the desired look you want, you can also use a blending brush to create a smokey eye look.  The color of the liner you choose usually depends on your hair color, desired look, and/or the color of hair on your eyebrows.  Soft brown, charcoal gray and black are the most common choices for eyeliner.  Some people also include white or blue liner to accentuate the natural color of the eyes.
