The Philadelphia Eagles had a rough 2019 season, with so many great players out due to injury they were not successful in making it to the playoffs. However, despite not being able to contend for another championship, the Eagles are still NFC Champions. We look forward to the players returning healthy next season.
On a different note, former Eagles coach, Andy Reid, who now coaches for the Kansas City Chiefs has a winning team that made it to Superbowl LIV. This is an exciting time for the Chiefs, because they haven't won a Superbowl since the 70's. The Chiefs are scheduled to play the San Francisco 49ers on February 2, 2020.
THE PHILADELPHIA 76’ERS
Since the start of 2020, the Philadelphia 76ers have won 7 games and some of those games have been without big man, Joel Embiid who is out after having surgery on his finger that was injured in a game against Oklahoma City Thunder. The Sixers have 30 wins and 17 losses and are in 6th place in the Eastern Conference. (as of January 27th). There is not much talk about the games lately, because of the loss of NBA great, Kobe Bryant.
The NBA mourns the loss of the late, great NBA player, Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna (Gi-Gi), and friends who were on a private helicopter traveling to basketball practice at the Mamba Sports Academy, when the helicopter crashed on January 26, 2020 and there were no survivors. (See the "Home" page for more details) Prayers are with the families. May they all rest in peace and rise in glory. Take a look at one of the memorable moments that changed Kobe's life, as we will always remember, King Kobe, the Black Mamba.

BOXING
On January 25, 2020, Philly boxer, Danny Garcia, faced Ivan Redkach, in a fight that went all 12 rounds. Danny put a hurting on Ivan, who stood the distance, but allegedly bit Danny on the neck in the eight round. As we have seen in boxing history, when a fighter knows that he is not winning the fight and cannot beat his opponent, he starts to fight dirty. This tactic didn’t work, because Danny won the fight. Although, the judges scored the fight pretty close, 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111. Philly stand up! Congrats Garcia!
