In the December 2022 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine, we honor, celebrate, and feature an amazingly talented Grammy Award Winning Producer, Singer, Songwriter, and Entrepreneur, Edmund "Butter" Clement, better known as, "Eddie Hustle."  Eddie was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and is the father of two beautiful and talented daughters, Diamond and Heaven.   He learned how to sing and play the piano at a very young age, inspired by his talented mother, Deborah Clement, singer in the hit disco group, Direct Current.  Eddie learned to play musical instruments by listening to sound patterns and beats.  Developing his craft lead to Eddie being discovered in his makeshift garage studio. Early in his career he was reproducing songs with Al B. Sure’s Absolute Records. He also began producing jingles for local advertising agencies and won his first Air Award, for a Herr's commercial.

At age 16, Eddie was asked to join the singing group "Brother” as a lead vocalist.  The group performed on several stages with worldwide streams echoing their hit song, "Ghetto Love."  The group signed their first major recording contract with Vincent Herbert and Sylvia Rhone at East West Records in 1993.  After the group decided later to explore other options, Eddie formed an R&B group with a cousin, Davin, and friend, Earl, called, "Hustle Child."  They too had much success on their first album.  Every song on their album was fire. The Hustle Child single also has a remix with hip-hop artists, Mr. Cheeks and Loon. Hustle Child's smooth, rhythmic sound, and the way they belted out effortless riffs helped you appreciate listening to great R&B music again from artists who can actually sing.

Eddie Hustle also collaborated with his talented singer, songwriter, sister Anita on music projects as well.  He talked about his experience as a hit-making producer for a number of R&B artists that includes: Chris Brown, TLC, 112, Boyz II Men, and Usher; earning him his first Grammy for Usher 8701 album, which received multiple nominations.  Eddie also earned credits as producer for the, Save the Last Dance Movie Soundtrack, and the Notorious Movie Soundtrack, "Pimps and Dons.”  He has crafted hits for artists across a variety of genres, including: Tyrese, Keyshia Cole, Changing Faces, Noel Gourdin, Heather Headley, All Saints, Mya, Neyo, and Petey Pablo.  Eddie Hustle continues to produce great music and shares his multi-talented abilities working on several projects in Music and Film productions.  He also has acting credits as well for his role in the comedic film, Ski Trippin'.

Eddie's production credits have earned him over 20 MILLION ALBUMS sold worldwide.  Buzzing in the industry creating a name for himself, Eddie Hustle, is known as a triple threat who peaked the interest of Mark Pitts, then manager of the Notorious BIG.  When asked about his first award winning experience in the music industry he discussed his experience working with Mark Pitts, who signed him to his new label Bystorm Entertainment and publishing deal with Universal Music Group.  Eddie states, "While Mark Pitts, now A&R at LaFace Records, was playing my demo, LA Reid, President of LaFace Records, overheard the song, 'U Remind Me,' and felt it was a hit, so he contacted me personally and stated, 'This is the perfect song for Usher,' assuring me that it would be the first single on Usher's 8701 album."  Having to keep his artist ambitions at bay and bring “U Remind Me" to life, Eddie agreed to produce the record on Usher 's album.  He states, "It was the Best decision of my life," with a #1 single, Grammy Award and 8 million albums sold worldwide, Eddie solidified his position in the industry as a Hit Maker!

Although, Eddie's first love is music, his talent and creativity does not stop at music.  He is embarking on entrepreneurship and expanding his horizons in a luxury apparel line and Heavy Pen Entertainment.  Eddie is not only an extremely creative, humble, devoted father, and talented man, he is also my cousin.  I am so proud of him as a father, creative, and as a part of the talented Clement family.  It is with extreme pleasure that we honor, celebrate, and feature, Edmund "Butter," Clement aka "Eddie Hustle" in the December 2022 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine!  You deserve your flowers. Keep Rising King!  We See You!
