In our August 2022 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine, we shine the spotlight and raise awareness about the nonprofit organization, Love Exquisite Arts and Recreation Nonprofit (L.E.A.R.N.) Center in Philadelphia, PA.  The L.E.A.R.N. Center is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit foundation with the mission of helping to reduce senseless gun violence in Philadelphia through offering educational programs that will allow low-income youth and adults the opportunity to positively utilize creative expression through access to enriching and actively engaging workshops and activities in the areas of:

-Arts

-Theatre/Film
-Sports
-Positive Beauty Culture and Fashion
-Music
-Mental Health & Wellness
-Youth Development

-Life Skills for Workforce Readiness

These programs and activities are offered in an effort to help reduce and eliminate senseless violence and crime plaguing Philadelphia, PA.  In addition, they provide life skills and computer training to develop youth and adults for workforce readiness and will provide employment opportunities for people who were unemployed due to COVID-19.  Every Wednesday evening, starting September 28th through October 12th, the Executive Director, Lynnette Clement, will be facilitating the digital literacy class teaching the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for free to the North Philadelphia community, offered through Temple University's PASCEP Community Education Program.

The L.E.A.R.N. Center's long-term goal is to also provide grant funding opportunities to individuals and groups that provide access to arts education learning opportunities that enhance the quality of life for youth and adults in low income communities, aligned with the mission of their organization.  Their nonprofit has provided holiday gift bags to the after school students at the Laura H. Carnell Elementary School, hosted the Stop the Violence Philly Youth and Adult Night Out at the Sixers vs Bucks game, held the 1st Annual Stop the Violence Youth and Adult Empowerment Symposium at the Ivy Hall Mansion, and the Painting with the Purpose of Love event at Painting with a Twist in Andorra in an effort to expose underserved youth and adults to different environments of learning and engagement.  Launched in 2021, there is so much more that the L.E.A.R.N. Center would like to do, but funding limits present some challenges.  They are working towards acquiring a property to house the L.E.A.R.N. Center's activities in North Philadelphia and need your support.

Despite the L.E.A.R.N. Center being a newly formed nonprofit, their initiatives have not gone unnoticed.  Congratulations to the L.E.A.R.N. Center on being nominated for the 2022 Metro Philly Best Award!  You can vote daily up until Sept. 8th at www.metrophillybest.com, click on "Services," then select "Not-For-Profit," and vote for the Executive Director, Lynnette Clement.  We are so proud to bring awareness to the Love Exquisite Arts and Recreation Nonprofit Center and feature the organization in our August 2022 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine.  To make a tax deductible donation to the L.E.A.R.N. Center, please visit the website at www.LearnNpc.org.  They are also looking for donors, sponsors for upcoming events, volunteers, Board members, and grant funders that help to fund and support their educational programs and activities.
