LEARNING BY DESIGN
AUTHENTICITY

You are designed as a unique individual.  There is no one quite like you.  You cannot be duplicated or reproduced.  Despite how much people might try to model you, act like you, be just like you, do what you do, say what you say, dress like you, talk like you, walk like you, they cannot be you, because there is only ONE YOU.  Everyone should be their own authentic self.  People who are their authentic self, are more respected, are inspiring, honest, emotionally intelligent, true to themself, are confident and trustworthy.

People who are authentic know how to set boundaries and walk away from people who are toxic, ingenuine, and not authentic.  Being who you truly are, takes less work than pretending to be someone else.  Being authentic means that you hold yourself to high regard and do not care about what others think about you; you are not someone who needs validation, recognition or praise to feel good about yourself.  You are an original, uniquely created by God. Embrace your authenticity.  Do not try to be like anyone else.  Be You.

There is no hidden agenda with people who are authentic.  You can trust them to do what they say they are going to do.  Authenticity is a good characteristic trait to have. To be authentic, you first have to learn to Accept yourself for who you are and who you are still becoming.  Learn from your mistakes and stop worrying about what you have and don't have.  Stop comparing yourself to others and just BE YOU.  It should not be hard to be authentic.  The only downside of being authentic, is that there are some people who cannot handle your honesty and truthfulness, however, that's not your problem to solve.  If you are like a chameleon, who adapts the characteristics of everyone that you are around, you are not your authentic self.  It is okay to be able to adapt to your environment, but it is not okay to conform to your environment thereby being someone other than your authentic self.

Unless you need to change for the better, do not change your belief system and behavior to please or appease others.  Just be authentically you, if you do otherwise you're a phony and no one wants to be around someone who is fake.  People who are not authentic, are co-dependent; they need others to feel relevant.  In the world of social media, there are way too many social chameleons that tries to be someone that they are not.  This is a sad state of affairs to not be comfortable with being who you truly are.  I hope that everyone reading this article at least try to develop authenticity. Be Authentic...It is the one true way to find your inner peace.
