EMPOWERING MOMENT
WORD OF THE MONTH:

INTENTIONAL

The Empowering Word of the Month for August 2022 is, Intentional.

Being intentional is being purposeful.  Purposeful with your time, with your relationships, money, and your life. Your intentions matter, because they serve as a compass for decision making. Being mindful of important relationships and how to maintain them should be done with intention. Being focused on your goals, should be done intentionally.  Being clear about what you want in life is intentional.  Surrounding yourself with people who support you and not present obstacles for you to achieve your goals, should be intentional.  Being kind to others, should be done intentionally.  Being kind to yourself, should be intentional.  Choosing to be kind is an intention. There are some people who have bad attitudes that usually derive from them having bad intentions.  Have you ever asked yourself, "What is the intention behind my current mood?  What message am I trying to convey about my personality?"   Are you purposeful with your meanness?  What are your intentions?

When thinking about being intentional, it is important to know that having good intentions is critical to maintaining a healthy relationship with others.  Be intentional about what you do and what you say is important to your authenticity.  Every decision you make, should be done with intention, especially when you reach adulthood.  When you are thinking about making purchases, separate your needs from your wants  Allow yourself room to learn from your mistakes with the intention to do better the next time.

Be intentional.  When you are sharing information with others ask yourself first, "Where is this information coming from?  Is it important?  Is it going to help them?   Is this something that he/she needs to know?  What is my intention for sharing this information with him/her?  If sharing the information is done with malicious intent, don't share it.  Check your mental state and ask yourself why your intentions are not good.  Ask yourself where does your "venom" come from?  Check your attitude, check your mood, check your intentions and choose to be better.  Choose to be intentional.

Be intentional about being a good person all of the time.  Be intentional.
