The Empowering Word of the Month for April is, Beautiful. Beautiful is defined as pleasing to the senses or mind aesthetically; or a very high standard of something or someone considered to be excellent.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Beauty is viewed differently by each person, based on his/her individual likes, dislikes, mindset, attraction, and personal preferences.  I believe that each of us possess something beautiful within.  Sometimes, that beauty can be tarnished by life experiences, if you allow your life experiences to alter the beauty within.

Someone who is viewed as being beautiful usually cares about themselves and others. They practice self-care and usually possess characteristics of someone who is kind, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, respectful, well mannered, demonstrates etiquette, attractive, and has a good heart (loving).  Beauty is not only about physical appearance, it’s about the heart, the mind, how you behave, communicate, as well as how you treat yourself, and how you treat others.

Dependent on what you view as “beautiful,” will determine how you define what and who is beautiful.  Being Beautiful is an attractive characteristic.  It’s not about what you look like on the outside, it is more about who you are at the core.   An outwardly beautiful person can still be viewed as less beautiful if they are a bad person at the core.  Who you are on the inside (inwardly) is displayed outwardly.   So, make sure that who you are at the core…the characteristic you possess is something beautiful.  Don’t be mean, disrespectful, ignorant, dismissive, or arrogant.  Be beautiful!
