EMPOWERING MOMENT
WORD OF THE MONTH:

THANKFUL

The word of the Month is Thankful.

November is the month of Thanksgiving.  As you reflect on these past few months, try not to focus on the bad things that has derived from this pandemic.  Think about the good things that propelled you beyond your circumstances, as we continue to learn how to navigate through this pandemic.   With the state of the world today, some of us are really struggling with how to maintain an appreciation for all that we have and how far we’ve come.  Instead of wallowing in self-pity at how our world has changed, now is the time to reflect on all that you have to be thankful for.  As long as you still have breath, you have the opportunity to be innovative and rethink the strategy to making your life better.  You have the ability to be and do better.  As you progress toward your destiny, be thankful for all that you are, and all that you will become.  Be thankful for all of your life experiences (good and bad) that have helped to shape and develop your good character.  Be thankful.

Now, is the time to stop complaining without working towards making your life better.  Now, is the time to stop blaming everyone else for the challenges in your life.  Now, is the time to discover you.  Now, is the time to decide what you are going to do to make your life the ideal life you want to live.  Now, is the time to be thankful for life.  Now, is the time to be thankful that you get another chance to right your wrongs.  Now, is the time to shift your way of thinking from negative to positive.  Now, is the time to be thankful.  We can all find something to be thankful for.  When you are thankful, God blesses you even more, because He knows that you appreciate His blessings.

When we are not thankful, we take for granted all of the things and people who have enriched our lives in some way.  We also take opportunities for granted, and we take for granted all that God wants to bless us with.  Being thankful means appreciating what you have and what you don’t have, but are working towards achieving.  When we are not thankful for even the little things, those little things can be taken away from us, so that we learn how to be thankful.   Look within yourself to find what you are thankful for.  Let go of negative, pessimistic thinking and thinking that you don't have anything to be thankful for.  I’m 100% certain that you have something to be thankful for.  Think about it.  Be THANKFUL.
