WNBA:

**Congratulations to the Las Vegas Aces, after winning the 2023 WNBA Championship.  The Las Vegas Aces defeated the New York Liberty in the championship game.  The Las Vegas Aces became the first team in twenty-one years to win back-to- back championships.  A’ja Wilson was the 2023 WNBA Finals MVP.

 

**Congratulations to Simone Biles after becoming the most decorated gymnast in history.  Simone celebrated after winning her sixth career world all around title.  The medal was Simone’s thirty fourth at an Olympic Championship.

 

MLB:

 

The Philadelphia Phillies fell short and suffered a devastating loss in the NLCS.  The Phillies lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-4 in a 7 game series.  After the loss, two coaches have been released from the team.  Coach Dave Lundquist, and Assistant Batting Coach, Jason Camilli.

 

*The Arizona Diamondbacks are playing the Texas Rangers in the 2023 MLB World Series.

 

MLS:

 

The Philadelphia Union Is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.  The team is participating in the Audi MLS Cup playoffs.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in first place in the NFC East with a record of seven wins and one loss.  Quarterback, Jalen Hurts, has been dealing with a knee injury he sustained as a result from a helmet to the knee.  Jalen has been diagnosed with a bruised knee, while he continues to play.  We pray for his speedy recovery as we continue to press on.

The Philadelphia 76’ers opened their 2023 season losing to the Milwaukee Bucks, 118-117.  At the 76’ers home opener with the Toronto Raptors, the 76’ers won with a score of 114-107.  The Sixers were finally able to trade James Harden to the LA Clippers.  In return the Sixers get Robert Covington, Nic Batum, Marcus Morris and KJ Martin.  They also will have​ Unprotected 2028 first-round pick (via Clippers), Two second-round picks (via Clippers), First-round pick from Thunder, and 

First-round pick swap (via Clippers).
