For our June 2020 issue, we highlight Yockia Nelson, a South Philadelphia native, beautiful and resilient mother of two beautiful children and healthcare worker, who attended CCP.  We salute, thank and applaud all healthcare workers who unselfishly care for others during this pandemic and always.  Yockia is a strong young lady with a big heart.  She has overcome several life challenges with optimism and is living proof that you do not have to be a product of your environment.  Having been recently diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, she hasn't allowed it to stop her from living life to the fullest, while enjoying every minute of it.  She wrote about her diagnosis in the August 2019 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine.
 

Yockia enjoys spending time with her family, the father of her children, as well as her friends.  She is passionate about looking and feeling your best and as you can see, she is beautiful enough to be a fashion model.  Yockia is also my God daughter, who I refer to as, "Apples," referring to the apple of my eye.  I am proud that she is a great mother.  I love, honor and thank you Yockia for the woman that you have become and for all that you do to care for others.  May God continue to bless you as you continue to be a blessing to those around you.
