NBA:

It would appear that the Philadelphia 76’ers will be revisiting THE PROCESS!! Fans have trusted THE PROCESS for the past several seasons and it seems that THE PROCESS has been PROCESSED!!

The 76’ers were eliminated from the 2021 Playoffs by The Atlanta Hawks in the semifinals.  Ben Simmons never showed up in any of the games.  The team had a 3-2 lead over the Hawks and a chance to win the series and eliminate Atlanta in game 6.  The team lost and here comes game 7 in Philly.  The 76’ers were defeated 103-96 and the season came to an abrupt end.

As a team, those guys could not get it together and get the job done on the home court.  It is uncertain what the team will do moving forward.  We have to make some moves during off season.  It is time to rebuild again and trust another kind of PROCESS!!

Joel Embiid was fined $35,000 by the NBA for an on court altercation with Atlanta’s player, Collins in game 6.

Young gave the Sixers “the business” throughout the playoff series.  Joel Embiid needs to practice handling the ball to reduce turnovers and Ben Simmons needs to learn how to play under pressure and make those jump and free throw shots.   The surrounding teammates need to step it up as well.  Howard needs to take some anger management classes and realize that he is not playing street ball anymore to avoid getting so many fouls.  The team has potential, they just have to learn how to play smart.  Basketball doesn’t just take shooting skills, it takes mental skills as well.  Ben Simmons only scored 5 points in the last game and the fans are not pleased, some are even calling for him to get traded.  In the last game, Embiid had eight turnovers, but I guess his 31 game points and Ben’s poor playing overshadowed that fact.  Howard continues to stay in  foul trouble  and has over 15 technical founds called on him this season.  Perhaps, anger management should be a part of basketball training.  The whole team collectively needs to get better, if they ever want to get to and win a championship.

The Detroit Pistons landed the #1 spot in the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery. The Draft selection is as follows:

#1 Detroit, #2 Houston, #3 Cleveland, #4 Toronto, #5 Orlando, #6 Oklahoma, #7 Golden State,

#8 Orlando, #9 Sacramento, #10 New Orleans, #11 Charlotte, #12 San Antonio, #13 Indiana,

#14 Golden State.

The NBA 2021 will crown a new Championship Team in July!!

Teams that remain in a hunt for the 2021 Men’s NBA Basketball Championship are:

Phoenix Suns vs. L.A. Clippers           Milwaukee Bucks vs. Atlanta Hawks

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE INCOMING 2021 NBA CHAMPIONS!!!!

BOXING:

Lamar won the exhibition fight against Aaron Carter.

On July 10, McGregor will take on Poirier in a UCF fight.  This fight should be good.
