In the January 2023 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine, we honor, feature and celebrate, Naveda "Veda" Walker, Founder of Thrive Girls, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of providing teen girls (ages 13-18) with the skills they need to effectively transition from teens into adulthood, and help them avoid engaging in risky behaviors, foster positivity, sisterhood, live a more successful and fulfilling life, as well as make a positive impact in their communities.  T.H.R.I.V.E. Girls, Inc, is a faith-based organization servicing PA, DE, and NJ, that has an eight week curriculum that teaches etiquette, self-love, and self-worth through fun, actively engaging learning activities.   They also provide mentoring, career and life coaching as well.  T.H.R.I.V.E. stands for Transforming Her Reality Into Valuable Empowerment.  The goal is to inspire and empower teen girls to "Keep Thriving."

Veda is also a mother, entrepreneur, model, certified life coach, mentor, and motivational speaker from West Philadelphia. She is a beautiful, driven, and talented young lady with a good heart.  When asked what inspired her to launch T.H.R.I.V.E. Girls, Inc., she states, "God, placed it on my heart to turn what I love to do into a nonprofit business to make an impact in the lives of teen girls struggling with life challenges."  Veda is passionate about helping to improve the lives of teen girls, because she remembers how challenging it can be for young women trying to navigate through life.  She is committed to helping teen girls work through those challenges and THRIVE!  Veda's mission is to help teen girls not give up on life or themselves. 

 

At the age of 20, Veda purchased her first home in Delaware to give her son an opportunity to live a better life.  She continues to serve as a positive role model and travels to different cities (PA, NJ, DE) to bring the T.H.R.I.V.E. Girls, Inc. curriculum into businesses and schools in need of her services.  To find out more about T.H.R.I.V.E.
