Rico Anderson is a singer, songwriter, musician, member of the U.S. Air Force, devoted husband to Dr. Malika Anderson (PharmD) and the proud father of two beautiful children, Devon Amari (daughter) and Christian Jalen (son).  Rico was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. His musical talents has afforded him opportunities to perform as an opening act for artists such as Mya, Lil Mo, Trina, Take 6, Ernie Isley, and Freeway. 

 

Rico exude's confidence when performing on stage and is gifted with the ability to not only sing, but to also write and play musical instrumentals.  Rico’s self entitled album earned him nominations for “Best New Artist” and “Rising Star” for the Indie Music Awards.  Locally, Rico has headlined shows at World Cafe Live, Theater of the Living Arts (TLA), Warmdaddy’s, the Tower Theater, and Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino, to name a few.

 

Rico continues to hone in on his musical craft and has several years of industry experience.  He sang the National Anthem for professional sports teams such as the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles. Not only is Rico gifted musically, he is also intelligent.  He is a proud graduate from the esteemed Berklee College of Music and has been serving in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years and counting with several decorations for time served.  On December 4, 2024, you can catch Rico Anderson and the Ruffneckz live performance at The Cigar Code 7pm-9pm on Delaware Avenue in Philadelphia.  It is our pleasure to celebrate and honor, Rico Anderson, in the December 2024 issue of the Love Exquisite Magazine.  Keep Rising King!
