SPORTS & THE CORONAVIRUS 

There is not much to report this month in the area of sports.  The

National and International Sports season was cut short due to the Coronavirus- 2019 (COVID-19). What is the Coronavirus 2019?  Coronavirus is a respiratory illness that can spread from person-to-person.  The world is in a health crisis with the Coronavirus Pandemic.  The Coronavirus has devastated ALL SPORTS, professional and collegiate: BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, HOCKEY, TENNIS, GOLF, BOXING, WRESTLING, GYMNASTICS, SWIMMING, and SOCCER and we are not sue when it will be safe to return.
 

Currently, the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo is canceled as well.   The health and safety of the world is the most important priority for all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FREE AGENCY IN THE NFL

The NFL continues to make moves during Free Agency, despite the Coronavirus-Disease 19.
 

Below are a few major moves:

  -Malcolm Jenkins-Eagles; Traded to New Orleans Saints – Eagles added RB Darius Slay.
 

  -Tom Brady-New England; Traded to Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2 year guaranteed $50 million.
 

  -Nick Foles-Jacksonville Jaguars; Traded to The Chicago Bears.
 

  -Todd Gurley- agreed to a 1 year deal with The Atlanta Falcons.  

  -Cam Newton -Carolina Panthers was released and replaced by Teddy Bridgewater.

 

 -Corey Clement - Philadelphia Eagles was released by the Eagles after helping the Birds win the Super Bowl and is was out for most of the season thereafter due to injury.

 -Nelson Aghlolor - Philadelphia Eagles; Traded to Las Vegas Raiders.

We don't know what the future of the NFL will look like, but I wish all of the players much success!
